While it might sometimes seem that we are not doing very much here at the domains and hosting section of globally local we are secretly hard at work bringing you the very best of the industry.

Here is a small run down of resources that we are currently preparing.


The GL Comprehensive and Reviewed Article Directory List
We have compiled a list of over 500 directories that provide articles that you can use to add value to your site. Over the coming weeks our team will be personally signing up for every last one and weeding out all those that do not measure up. Pages with pop-ups, spam or bad editorial direction are being removed while those that are well maintained and easy to use both for submitting or taking articles will remain.

Submitting your work to article directories is hard work but worth it for the flow of visitors it can draw in. Our article Them Links, Them Links tells you more about links and why they are good.

By proofing a very big list for you we hope to reduce the strain by only pointing you to good article directories.

However don't expect this to be ready by tomorrow as this sort of dedication takes time and we have been hard at work doing many other things.

Code Class - Obit42-Base
Our dream is to create a socially interactive website here at globallylocal.com of which hosting will be only a minor part. To do this we must write a lot of code. Adullam Limited was founded to do this. Adullam Limited is the company that runs this site and that is who the team here work for.

As part of our commitment to creating the best code ever we have been giving our work away for free. code.Orbit42.com is where the code and information can be found. The project is written in php and forms a comprehensive base class. The idea being that the minimum requirements to go from idea to test case should be as short as possible.

We are currently at Version 2 and looking towards version 3.

blogclue.com - the standard for blog search
Using the Orbit42 base class (mentioned above) we are working to create an indexing and search system for blogs and related media based on linkage and tagging. As time goes on we shall be telling you about blogclue tags that you can use to automatically assign content pages to categories as you write them.

We wrote before in "Picking Your Topic For Fast Appeal" how you could get he most from such a system and how to select your tags.

Currently blogclue.com is a blank canvass on to which we will paint the definition of quality and invention. That sort of intention takes time and so you can watch as it unfolds with news both here and on-site later.

Total Platform Review
You may recall we have written about Choosing a Good Platform For Your Site. Finding the right system to use is not always easy. Even if you consider the large number of platforms just from the open source community you could be there forever.

We also published Essential Business Blogging Tools Checklist where we listed the tools you would need not be package but by requirement.

We have been busy testing and reviewing the software to meet these needs (platforms and business tools) and when we are ready to give our conclusion we will start to publish a series of guides to help you choose.
